Cheated out of Free Refil

I win a free 5-life Refill at the beginning of my regular of 5-life refill . When I had used all of the regular like bed and needed another refill I did not receive the 5-life refill that I won. If I receive a free 5-life refill then it should be held in reserve until I have finished using the other 5 lives. Why should I lose my earned 5-life reward because I am currently playing on my regular 5-lives. When I run out of lives I should be able to get the reward lives to play
